Local chef Karen Sheer is offering a new cooking class in Greenwich, “Spring Fling: Cooking with the Season.”
The class will take place on Tuesday June 11, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at Leicht Greenwich, 11 East Putnam Ave in Greenwich.
As the name suggests, Chef Sheer will explore fresh and healthy spring recipes with ingredients gathered from local farmers markets. Sheer insists on the finest vegetables of the season, and spends much time gathering them for this special class.
The class is ideal for both foodies and beginner cooks.
“Revitalize your taste buds with these recipes using the finest local ingredients,” Sheer said.
In her cooking class, participants can expect to learn where to shop for ingredients and prepare homemade delicious recipes – and feel confident cooking for yourself, family and company.
Meal prep and time-saving tips will be discussed to make your busy lives easier.
Participants will enjoy four healthy veggie-driven recipes from spring’s bounty.
“Participation is welcomed, but not mandatory,” Sheer said. “It is a fun experience with friends old and new in this beautiful, modern kitchen.”
