SINISI: Lopez Has the Work Ethic and Concern for Greenwich that We Need from a State Rep in Hartford

Submitted by Dan Sinisi, Glenville Resident, RTC –  District 9

Connecticut is facing challenges on the public safety, economic, and local governance fronts: politicians in Hartford continue making decisions for us with little regard for our concerns here in Greenwich.

This November, it will be critical to elect leaders that will prioritize Greenwich: Ed Lopez, a member of the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) for the last five years, from Chickahominy, has demonstrated the work ethic and concern for us that we need from a representative in Hartford.

Ed has actively tackled concerns about Hartford’s affordable housing plans for Greenwich – plans that dismiss local voices and neglect the impact that these developments will have on our neighborhoods. As a member of the RTM Ed has been a voice for local control and transparency.

Connecticut’s 150th District, which is the town’s most diverse, requires particular attention on these issues. Additionally, Ed’s experience in the armed forces will lend a voice of credibility in Hartford when a new legislature re-evaluates the hastily and clumsily passed Police Accountability Bill: we need to hold those who supported this bill and weakened law enforcement across the state accountable.

I ask you to join me in supporting and voting in Ed Lopez for State Representative in the 150th district.
