LETTER: No evidence of vote count malfunction has been discovered in Greenwich

Submitted by Susan Rattray, Cos Cob

Dear Leslie,

I am sending this as a letter to the editor.

Is Greenwich becoming an Arizona Wannabe?

From the southwest we hear echoes of, “The Election was Stolen.”  Now in Greenwich we hear, ” Her vote wasn’t counted.” Admittedly the RTM vote to accept the $500,000 grant was close at 104 to 101, but even if her “uncounted” vote were added to the losing total, the result would still be a loss. (104 to 102)

I find it troubling to watch allegedly adult partisans unwilling to accept the result of an RTM voters’ decision because the result was not the one they wanted. I find it even more troubling to note that the town’s leadership or First Selectman supports the “sore losers” assertion about a faulty vote count and refuses to abide by the RTM’s decision.

This behavior is the reminiscent of schoolyard squabbles and should not be countenanced by elected leaders.

No evidence of 2020 election theft has been found in Arizona. No evidence of vote count malfunction has been discovered in Greenwich.

Accept the RTM’s decision. Accept grant and use it wisely.
