LETTER: Correcting the Record on Campaign Flyer in District 2

Letter to the editor from Pam Schaefer,

Regarding the article dated January 22, 2020 SEEC to Investigate Complaint against RTM Candidates, Fiscal Freedom for CT, I would like to correct false information provided by Lorelei O’Hagan regarding the flyer I personally created and distributed in support of District 2 candidates.

I did not seek nor request approval or “blessing” from Wilma Nacinovich. I did though show the professional and neighborly courtesy of notifying her (including attaching the flyer) on Oct 27, 2019, as I also did Lorelei O’Hagan.  The referenced emails are below.

On a side note, I am an unaffiliated voter and rarely engage in political activities, but it was only after I observed the uncivil discourse and behavior of many in town, that I was inspired to get involved.

The attached flyer was distributed to over 300 people in RTM District 2, and I am confident of the impact it had and pleased all 12 of the candidates I recommended won.

Sincerely,
Pam Schaefer

Hi Lorelei,

Thank you for your efforts.  I feel very strong about a fiscal conservative approach.  So strongly that I put this together and will be distributing tomorrow.

Please let’s stay friends and neighbors.

Best,
Pam

Dear Wilma,

Thank you for your RTM service and commitment to fiscal conservative policies. It is a priority for me and you have my vote on Nov 5th!

I put this flyer together and plan to distribute in our neighborhood and also share via email with the others on my list of 14 so they may distribute.

Please feel free to use and distribute as you would like. We need to get the word out!

Best regards,
Pam Schaefer
