LETTER: Bill Kelly is a person of great experience, integrity and vision

Submitted by John Lobrano, Old Greenwich

It is my great pleasure to write to endorse Bill Kelly as Greenwich’s First Selectman and to urge all voters to support his candidacy.

Bill  Kelly is a born civic leader who has contributed significantly to the government of the Town for many years as a member of the Board of Education and as a member of the Board of Estimate and Taxation.

While Bill is intimately familiar with the inner workings of our Town’s government, he is not a machine politician but is instead an independent thinker and thoughtful listener who can build consensus.

Indeed, Bill is just the person to return balance and bipartisanship to our local government.

I believe that Bill Kelly understands the frustrations of many in Town with bungled efforts to improve our schools and missteps in maintaining and improving the Town’s infrastructure.

We need a leader who can tap the energy, creativity and resourcefulness of our community to improve Greenwich for the benefit of everyone in Town.   Bill Kelly is a person of great experience, integrity and vision and will bring fresh approaches to the office of First Selectman.

I thank him for his past service to the Town and encourage everyone to vote for him in November.
