License Plate, Diamond Ring and Credit Card Stolen from Round Hill Club

On Oct 3 multiple Greenwich Police units responded to the Round Hill Club on a report of two men attempting to open car doors.

Police investigation and determined that two men, Benjamin Rodriguez, 30, and Mauricio Andrew Rifo-Fuentes took a Connecticut license plate from a parked car in the club’s parking lot and attached it to Rodriguez’s rental car with a rubber band.

Someone witnessed the men move their car to different locations of the parking lot and attempt to open car doors.

The club manager informed police that the two men were not members of the club and did not have permission to be on private property.

Police spotted a diamond ring and credit card in plain view in the center console of the rental car.

The credit card owner was contacted and confirmed that the ring and credit card belonged to her and that she had left the two items in her car.

Mr. Rodriguez and Mr. Rifo-Fuentes were both arrested and charged with Improper Use of License, Burglary 3, Criminal Trespass 3, and Larceny 3. Each was able to post his $5,000 bond and they share a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 18, 2021.
