Letter: Bhargava Spearheaded the Indian Cultural Center, Has Passion for the Community

Dita Bhargava

Letter to the editor from Julie Marek, Sept. 20, 2016

To the Editor:

Dita Bhargava is an ideal candidate for state representative in the 151st district of Greenwich because of her resolute passion for her family and community.

I am a longtime friend of Dita, and she and her husband Dan have never failed to be supportive and kind. As a daughter, wife, mother, friend, and community advocate, I am constantly in awe of Dita’s ability to manage the many impressive and demanding roles she plays on a daily basis.

When I think of how Dita spearheaded the Indian Cultural Center, and the many ways the ICC enhanced our community, I am inspired. Dita made a lasting imprint on this community through her ability to take a vision and make it come to life. Now, just a few years after its inception, the ICC is a well known organization in Fairfield and Westchester counties and provides countless resources to people of all backgrounds.

Dita’s selflessness resonates in all aspects of her life. When spending time with Dita’s family, I am always amazed at the care and thoughtfulness that she puts into teaching her children the value of caring for others. When elected, Dita will bring these unwavering moral values to Hartford.

Please join vote ballot position 5A for Dita on November 8th!
