To the Editor,
As a 30+ year resident of Old Greenwich, I am writing to express my strong support for the reelection of Representative Steve Meskers, a leader whose work has had a direct and meaningful impact on our community and our state. Steve’s commitment to a pro‑growth vision for Connecticut is evident in how he works, how he problem‑solves, and how he champions businesses striving to innovate.
As the co‑founder of a first‑of‑its‑kind Connecticut company that converts unwanted waste material into a high‑performance, low‑carbon solution for concrete, we’ve experienced firsthand the many hurdles a new, sustainable manufacturer faces in our region. Steve didn’t just listen. He stepped in, helped us cut through obstacles, and enabled us to move forward at critical moments during those early years. His pragmatic, accessible, and results‑oriented approach has benefited our company, the Connecticut residents we employ, and the broader effort to grow sustainable industries in our state.
Long before any election season, Steve was already showing up. Years ago, on one of the hottest days of summer, he was the first candidate to come to our door, introduce himself, and explain why he wanted to serve this community. That sincerity, accessibility, and the personal connections he makes have never changed since that first meeting.
Steve is a no nonsense guy who gets things done. He represents the best interests of our local community and our state with energy, integrity, and a clear understanding of what it takes to strengthen Connecticut’s economic future.
At a time when many feel disconnected from their elected officials, Steve embodies what we all hope to see in public servants at every level of government.
For these reasons and many more, I strongly endorse Steve Meskers in his run for reelection.
