As we approach Election Day 2026, it pains me, as a lifelong Greenwich resident who has volunteered most of his life, to see what one-party rule has done to our beloved state of Connecticut. Once an economic leader, our state now finds itself at the bottom of every important category when it comes to business friendliness and migration versus out-migration.
Every single constitutional office in this state is held by a Democrat. The state legislature is controlled by Democratic supermajorities.
As a lifelong Republican, I am proud that I have had a great working relationship with many local and state Democrats. That relationship continues to this day.
Nevertheless, I will be voting Republican on Election Day, because continuing one-party rule has not worked. It has not worked for 40 years.
I have great respect for both the Democrats and Republicans on the ballot this year, and I am proud of that fact. But I am also proud to cast my vote for Joe Kelly, a person who has given so much of himself over the years.
I trust Joe, and I trust that he will be an honest broker in Hartford and a fierce defender of local control, not just with words, but with action.
I ask my friends around town to please consider voting for Joe Kelly for State Senate in the 36th District.
