DiMuzio Promoted at YWCA Greenwich to Director of The Harmony Project

YWCA Greenwich recently announced the promotion of Jessie DiMuzio, LCSW, to Director of the Harmony Project, which provides direct service to victims of domestic and sexual violence, as well as prevention education throughout the community.

Jessie joined YWCA Greenwich in 2013 as a part-time Crisis Intervention Counselor and Office Manager for Domestic Abuse Services.

DiMuzio earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Sacred Heart University, which inspired her to seek a career in social work.

After earning her master’s degree from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service in 2017, DiMuzio transitioned to a full-time Crisis Coordinator, taking on increasing levels of leadership within the organization, most recently serving as Director of Domestic Abuse Service Programs and Interim Director of the Harmony Project.

“We are excited to have Jessie’s many skills and extensive experience in this important role both at YWCA Greenwich and in the community,” said Mary Lee Kiernan, President and CEO of YWCA Greenwich.

The Harmony Project of YWCA Greenwich offers services and support for safe relationships and serves those affected by domestic abuse or intimate partner violence and sexual violence through a full spectrum of comprehensive services, including a 24/hour hotline, crisis intervention, emergency shelter services, individual and group counseling, civil and criminal court advocacy, violence prevention programs, and public education and awareness, and more.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the Greenwich community as Director of the Harmony Project at YWCA Greenwich,” DiMuzio said.

“I look forward to using the knowledge and experience gained during my ten years in our victim services work here at the Y to build on the incredible work past leaders of this department have accomplished to advance the safety, support, and empowering services available to those experiencing domestic and/or sexual violence.”
