Update, Dec. 8: Olive has been adopted. We featured Olive two weeks ago when she was pulled from NYC ACC by Tina Aronson of Greenwich. Tina fostered the puppy while she interviewed applicants and checked their references. On Saturday, families came to Pet Pantry in Railroad Ave to meet Olive.
At the end of the day, Olive went home with her new family and sibling, Earl. Olive’s family have renamed her Sugar Rae, and report the dogs are getting along beautifully. Congratulations!
Original story, Nov. 29: Our friend Tina from Cat Assistance (they rescue dogs too) pulled Olive from New York City Animal Control, where she would have been euthanized, like so many other perfectly nice dogs.
Olive is safe and sound here in Greenwich, where Tina is fostering her near Lake Ave. We met Olive on Sunday morning and she is just the sweetest girl.
Weighing in at 49 lbs and growing, Olive is about 6 months old. She is healthy and happy and looking for a forever home.
Olive needs some puppy training, but is housebroken and not a chewer! She plays nicely with other dogs, but can be a little rough. A male dog would be the best match. This is a great family dog!
