Greenwich Animal Control has a few pets available for adoption.
Ralphie is a sweet, handsome boy who is about 1-1/2 years old and weighs about 50-60 lbs.
Staff say Ralphie was very fearful when he came to the shelter as a stray found in Glenville, but has gained a lot of confidence from the attention and care of the staff.
According to ACO Suzanne Carlin, Ralphie arrived at the shelter not even knowing how to play with toys but has started to do that now.
“He is a good dog with potential to learn,” she said, adding that animal control doesn’t know anything about Ralphie’s previous life.
He still alternates between fearful and confident behavior, but will continue to improve with an experienced, patient and understanding owner.
Ralphie would do well in a home with a calm, confident dog to buddy up with, help reduce his fears and show him what life is like in a loving home.
