GPD: Multiple Charges for Queens Woman Include Larceny, Forgery, Criminal Impersonation

Greenwich Police arrested a Queens, NY woman following an extensive financial crime investigation stemming from an incident reported on Oct 6, 2022.

Wai Suen, 47, was arrested Jan 31 after Greenwich Police obtained an extraditable arrest warrant and traveled to the Rikers Island.

Ms Suen was wanted for an incident on West Putnam Avenue dating back to last October. According to The Hour, Ms Suen “allegedly used a stolen identity to purchase a $100,000 Mercedes-Benz as a part of an identity theft ring accused of defrauding a Greenwich Mercedes-Benz dealership of over half a million dollars in cars, according to an arrest warrant.”

Greenwich Police charged Suen with Larceny 1 (Class B Felony), Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 1 (Class B Felony), Identity Theft 1 (Class B Felony), Conspiracy to Commit Identity Theft 1 (Class B Felony), Criminal Impersonation, conspiracy to commit Criminal Impersonation, Forgery 2 (Class D Felony), and Conspiracy to Commit Forgery 2 (Class D Felony).

Bond was set at $150,000 and her court date was Feb 14, 2023 in Stamford Superior Court.

According to the Judicial Branch website, the case is awaiting plea and Ms Suen is due back in court on April 6, 2023.
