Best Friends Animal Society & Animal Care Centers of NYC Team Up for Pet Adoption Pop-Up

On Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20, Best Friends Animal Society in NYC and Animal Care Centers of NYC (NYCACC) are teaming up to host a Pet Adoption Pop-Up at The Spot BK, located at 232 Varet Street in Brooklyn.

At this event, more than 75 dogs and cats will be looking for loving homes. Adoption fees will be waived for adult large dogs and adult cats, and $25 for kittens, covered by Best Friends Animal Society.

“Best Friends is looking forward to what we hope will be another successful Pet Adoption Pop-Up adoption event with NYCACC,” said Marlan Roberts, Executive Director, Best Friends in NYC.

“NYC shelters are at capacity, and we need the community’s support to get dogs and cats out of shelters and into loving homes. By choosing to adopt from NYCACC and other local animal welfare organizations, New Yorkers can help ease stress on shelters and make a direct impact on pet lifesaving in our city.”

The event is open to the public from 11:00am-5:00pm on Saturday and 11am-4pm on Sunday. There is no fee to attend. For additional information, visit bestfriends.org/new-york-city/adopt.

Those who cannot attend in person can visit bestfriends.org/nyc to find a local shelter or rescue to adopt a new dog or cat.

Best Friends Animal Society is a leading animal welfare organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats in America’s shelters and making the entire country no-kill. Founded in 1984, Best Friends runs lifesaving facilities and programs nationwide in partnership with more than 5,000 shelters and rescue organizations. From our headquarters in Kanab, Utah, we also operate the nation’s largest no-kill animal sanctuary — a destination that brings our mission to life for thousands of visitors each year. We maintain the most comprehensive animal sheltering data in the country and make it accessible to the public — empowering communities with critical insights into the needs of their local shelters and how they can help. We believe every dog and cat deserves a home. And we believe that, by working together, we can Save Them All.
