Early “Career” Assessments: The bad, the good, and the beautiful.

“With summer activities, as a general rule, don’t repeat them unless there’s a passion and a talent. Attend that tennis camp in year two if you are passionate about tennis and have grown your talent in year one. Otherwise, select another summer activity. Take the rocketry class for a second summer if you enjoy the building, launching, recovery, and repair of rockets and seem adept at it; otherwise, try a different activity.

Family Centers Graduation at Armstrong Court is a Sea of Smiles

It was a gorgeous sunny day at Armstrong Court for Family Centers pre-school graduation on Thursday, and for many of the children it was probably the first certificate they’d earned. As families jockeyed for an angle for the prefect photo or video, the children, in their mortar boards and best outfits, smiled as all the attention was directed their way. About two dozen volunteers from Morgan Stanley set up the event, served lunch to all the children and their families and even cleaned up afterward, making it possible for the parents to actually see and enjoy the graduation.
