On Monday, April 20, 2026, YWCA Greenwich’s Harmony Project will host “We Are The Evidence: A solution oriented evening with Cheyenne Wilson,” 6:30 to 8:00pm at YWCA Greenwich, 259 E Putnam Avenue, in recognition of April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

At its core, Sexual Assault Awareness Month is about advocating for a culture where respect, consent, and safety are the norm rather than the exception. The Harmony Project provides free and confidential services to all survivors of gender-based crimes; including those who are survivors of sexual violence.
“April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a time to shine a light on an issue that is often hidden and stigmatized. We hope you will be able to join us for our upcoming awareness event with Cheyenne Wilson. She is a survivor of sexual violence and author of “We Are The Evidence,” said the Director of the Harmony Project, Jacqueline Collazo.
Cheyenne Wilson, the keynote speaker of this event, is a registered nurse and survivor of sexual assault. Her mission is to raise awareness about the reality of sexual assault, eliminate the stigma associated with being a victim, and make lasting changes in the justice and healthcare systems.

Her book, “We Are The Evidence: A Handbook for Finding Your Way After Sexual Assault,” serves as an emotional and legal guide for survivors in the days, months, and years after the sexual assault, and will be the root of the event’s conversation.
“This event is about shifting how we respond to survivors, creating trauma-informed systems, and ensuring people are met with dignity, belief, and care. I want people to walk away not just with increased awareness, but with clear action steps they can take,” said Wilson.
