Thank you Greenwich Police Captain James Bonney and the Emerald Society for organizing an amazing event on Sunday.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for the “Wearing of the Green-wich Thank You Parade,” and the antique cars sparkled as they carried Grand Marshal Frank Kelly and others down Greenwich Avenue.
There were, 10 bagpipe bands, Irish Step Dance groups, doctors, nurses, supermarket workers, members of the Greenwich Police Dept, Fire Dept, GEMS, Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, TAG, Cos Cob Cruisers, police honor guard, the GHS girls volleyball team, Masons, Pyramid Shriners Klowns and Motor Patrol, Greenwich Rotary, GCDS, RMA, and Neighbor to Neighbor, to name a few.
The parade kicked off with dozens of motorcycle police and a police helicopter circling overhead.
