Full Day & Half Day Programs available for beginners and intermediate riders. In addition – riding Lessons for Every Level Available.

Attire: All students must wear jeans or long pants and hard soled boots with a slight heel for riding. Shorts may be worn for non-riding activities. Riding helmets must be SEI Certified and meet or exceed ASTM specifications. We have student riding helmets available for rider’s use. Please put rider’s name on all clothing.

Snack: Pack a healthy snack & plenty of water. Full day programs bring lunch as well.

Riding Placement: Your child will be placed in the riding group appropriate for their skill level.

Valid Waiver: Original waiver must be on file at least one week prior to scheduled week.

Sessions will be held rain or shine. There are NO make-ups.

Summer Horsemanship Riding Programs

Our summer day programs are a great way for kids to immerse themselves in riding, horsemanship, and have a lot of fun! Our summer Horsemanship Riding Programs are designed for children who have never ridden to those who are looking to strengthen their skills.

AM Program (ages 7 and up)
Hours:
8:00am – 12:00noon, Levels – never ridden to trot only, 45 minutes to 1 hour group riding lesson
Weeks 1, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11 & 14
Cost: $700 per week (week 1 excludes Monday – $560)

PM Program (ages 5 & 6)
Hours: 1:00pm to 4:00pm, Levels – never ridden to walk only, 30 to 45 minute group riding lesson
Weeks 1, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11
Cost: $600 per week (Week 1, excludes Monday – $480)

Full Day Program (ages 7 & up)
Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm, Levels – never ridden to trot only, 45 minutes to 1 hour morning group riding lesson, 30 minute PM group riding lesson. Space Limited
Weeks: 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 13, & 14
Cost: $1,375 per week (Week 6 excludes Thursday – $1,100)

Full Day Program (ages 5 & 6)
Hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm, Levels – never ridden to walk only, 30 minutes AM & PM group riding lesson. Space Limited
Weeks: 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12 & 13
Cost: $1,050 per week (Week 6, excludes Thursday – $840)

Own-Your-Own-Horse for a Week
Own-Your-Own-Horse for a Week is a full day program (8:00am to 4:00pm) designed to give the experience of horse ownership. Riders are under supervision of a staff member throughout the day and includes 2 riding lessons (AM & PM), feeding your horse, mucking stall, grooming, tacking & untacking and more! Riders will take an hour group lesson in the morning and have a half hour supervised hack in the afternoon.

They will also serve as leaders for the morning and afternoon Summer Horsemanship Riding Program lessons. Program is designed for riders who are at least learning to canter. Riders are subject to evaluation lesson prior to registration, unless rider is a current Mead Farm client. Must be at least 11 years old or entering 6th grade in Fall 2019. Space Limited

Cost: $1,200 per week
