Early on Saturday a group of about two dozen runners from Greenwich Road Runners rendezvoused outside Lululemon on Greenwich Avenue for an early morning run.
The group ran down the Ave and headed to the pier at the end of Steamboat Road, then back up the Ave.
GRR is a chapter of the Road Runners Club of America. They have a diverse membership drawn together by the joy of running and its healthful benefits. They have developed a special camaraderie that comes from like-minded people supporting, encouraging, and enjoying being around each other.
GRR hosts group runs, fun runs, training runs and programs on the road and track, provides awards for GRR standout members, and hosts social events. GRR also engages in community activities to promote the benefits of running to improve the health of people in the community.
