Screen Shot 2015-03-02 at 9.12.36 AMIt’s time to think spring. The long overdue season’s arrival is signaled by Community Answers annual benefit, “Swing into Spring.” The event takes place on Sunday, March 8 at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich and starts at 11:30 am.  The event includes a luncheon, silent auction, and fashion show with looks from favorites including Beam & Barre, Lilly Pulitzer, Lord & Taylor, Stella M’Lia, Vilebrequin, Vineyard Vines and Wishlist.

Every year Greenwich residents of all ages serve as models and this year the event will be emceed by three-time Emmy Award winning PIX 11 morning news anchor, Sukanya Krishnan.

Screen Shot 2015-03-02 at 9.12.11 AMLast year the event drew hundreds of residents with optimistic thoughts of warm weather and the sandals, shorts and short sleeves that come with it. And, oh those pretty summer dresses. With a sprinkling of adult models, the girls and boys modeled spring and summer clothing, each enjoying their star turn on catwalk at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich.

The event benefits Community Answers, which recently became a United Way program. The agency has operated in Greenwich since 1968. About half of the non-profit’s modest budget is raised during the “Swing into Spring”  event.

Housed inside Greenwich Library at 101 West Putnam Ave, volunteers are ready to field questions by phone (203) 622-7979 Monday – Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. There is an interactive website with many answers just a click away.
