Pink Week at Western Middle School Supports Breast Cancer Awareness & Research

This week, the Western Middle School community and volleyball team will be hosting their Sixth Annual Pink Week to support Breast Cancer Awareness and Research.

Students and staff at WMS will have the opportunity throughout the week to buy bracelets and other pink accessories to wear at the school’s annual Pink Day on Friday, October 17.

On Tuesday, October 21, the volleyball team will host their annual Dig Pink game as they take on GCDS. The game will also feature “Serving Pink Principal,” where one WMS administrator will serve the first ball of the game, based on student votes.

In the last five years, led by social studies teacher and volleyball coach, Ms. Olivia Traina, they have raised more than $5,000.

Their goal this year is to raise $1,200.

Supporting the WMS community in their fight against cancer is very much appreciated.
