Kids In Crisis Spring Gala Set to “Rock the Dock” with Music Provided by Yacht Lobsters

The annual Kids In Crisis gala, the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year, is set to “Rock the Dock” Friday, March 1, at The Loading Dock in Stamford with a performance by Yacht Lobsters.

With event co-chairs Amber Boissonneault and Sean McMurtry at the helm, the yacht rock-themed event will raise critical funds to support the award-winning shelter, counseling, and community-based programs Kids In Crisis provides throughout Fairfield County. The evening will be emceed by Greenwich-based broadcasters Jeff Glor and Michael Kay.

“Our gala will bring together donors and partners to reflect on the impact of our work, particularly TeenTalk, our in-school youth mental health program,” said Shari Shapiro, Executive Director of Kids In Crisis. “This year, we will share insights directly from students and counselors. Our team has been working tirelessly as the pandemic left classrooms filled with students struggling to catch up emotionally and academically. With the end of COVID-related funding but continuing needs, this event’s success is crucial for maintaining our support for children across all grades, who are still dealing with the effects of missed educational and social milestones.”

The success of the annual gala relies entirely on the generosity of individuals and businesses within the community. This year’s sponsors include Goodwin Dental in Cos Cob, Lucky Dog Refuge in Stamford, Morgan Stanley, and Fairfield County LOOK.
