Also, did you know that the Greenwich Lions do all the eye testing for all private and public school students and purchase large print books for the Greenwich Library?
All proceeds will go to support numerous local health and human services. Recipients include: Greenwich Scholarships, Neighbor to Neighbor, Meals on Wheels, Abilis, and GADC-River House.
Three thousand dollars will help local children and seniors access eye care and eye glasses. The Lions rejuvenated and maintain the Lions Low Vision Center at Greenwich Hospital. The Lions sponsor summer camp scholarships for visually impaired youth and conduct vision screenings at all elementary schools in Town. The club also contributes to local and regional agencies working to alleviate food insecurity. The generosity of Greenwich donors allowed the group to contribute $20,000 to local causes this year.
Individuals can make a direct gift to the organization’s annual appeal by mailing a check to Greenwich Lions Foundation, P.O. Box 130 Old Greenwich 06870.
