On Wednesday night women from all over Fairfield County will participate in a fast-paced nailing competition where teams will vie for the title of “She Nailed It!” Champions and the coveted bedazzled hammer prize – all with the goal of providing a new affordable home for a female headed household!

Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County (Habitat CFC) will host its first-ever ladies-only “She Nailed It!” social and nailing competition to raise funds for Women Build, an innovative program designed to recruit, educate, and empower women to break stereotypes, build, and advocate for affordable housing in Fairfield County. The event will be held Wednesday, June 15 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center in Old Greenwich. The proceeds of the event will be used to build a new house for a hard-working female-headed household in need. The event is co-sponsored by the Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation, GE Asset Management and Garden Catering.

Teams of four women are encouraged to register in advance of the event. The goal is for team members to solicit friends, family, colleagues and others to “sponsor” their participation.

This will be a safe and fun competition – no experience or special skills are required. Spectators (including men) are welcome to attend and cheer on their favorite teams.

Spectator tickets can be purchased online in advance for $25 or $35 at the door. There will also be prizes for the best team name and best costume, as well as ample food and drink for all contestants and spectators.

For more information and detailed guidance on registering a team, securing sponsorships, and purchasing tickets, please visit https://www.habitatcfc.org/women-build-she-nailed-it-hammering-competition.

The event is at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center, 90 Harding Rd in Old Greenwich.
