Greenwich Middle Schooler’s “Baked by Khushi” Pop-Up Bakery to Benefit Kids in Crisis

Greenwich 13-year-old Khushi Choudhary is combining her sweet tooth, entrepreneurial flair, and big heart to raise funds for Greenwich non-profit, Kids in Crisis.

Having honed her baking skills during the pandemic, Khushi is organizing a pop up bakery featuring treats from her brand, “Baked by Khushi.”

The event will take place on Sunday May 15 and Monday May 16 from 3:00-5:00pm at 74 Summit Road in Riverside.

Expect choices of cupcakes, macarons, cookies, brownies and more.

This is not Khushi’s first effort. During the month of April, proceeds from her pop up bakery went to Save the Children Ukraine, and approximately $1,600 has been raised so far.

“I am self-taught and love to experiment with the flavors and recipes,” Khushi said. “My love for baking was inspired by own sweet tooth.”

According to Khushi, 80% of all proceeds will go to Kids in Crisis, a non profit in Cos Cob that provides emergency shelter, crisis counseling, and community education programs for children of all ages and families facing crisis.

It is possible to order in advance and arrange delivery in Riverside and OG.
