“We are so grateful for the Greenwich community’s enthusiastic support for the Turkey Trot,” said Julie
Faryniarz, Executive Director, Greenwich Alliance for Education. “Our 12th edition was marked by two firsts – two winners of the ‘Run for Your School’ competition and involvement by the First Selectman’s Youth Commission – which made this year even more exciting. A special shout out to Tom the Turkey for visiting our generous sponsors and for cheering on all of the runners on race day.”

For the first time in Turkey Trot history, two Greenwich elementary schools shared top honors in the Alliance’s “Run For Your School Competition” – Julian Curtiss for the highest percentage of participants from its student body and North Mianus School for the highest total number of registrants.

Each received a $500 prize which can be used to purchase physical education equipment.
