Albert B. Ashforth Awarded Bruce Museum Property Management Assignment

Albert B. Ashforth, Inc. – Management Services, a division of The Ashforth Company, has been awarded the property management assignment for the Bruce Museum in Greenwich.

The Bruce Museum recently completed a major capital improvement project which nearly doubled the size of its building to 80,000 square feet. The expansion included a new 44,000-square-foot addition, a new entrance, lobby, café, interior lightcourt, and expanded gallery space to allow for more exhibitions.

“We are delighted to have been awarded the property management assignment for the Bruce Museum,” said David Marks, senior vice president and director of operations for Ashforth’s Management Services Division. “The Bruce Museum is a vital nonprofit asset in our community, and we are pleased to expand our portfolio of commercial property management assignments with this important organization. We believe that expert operation plays a significant role in ensuring a property’s success, and we are confident that our team can provide the Bruce Museum with the high-quality service it deserves.”

Since being engaged, Ashforth has completed several projects, including hiring a full-time on-site building engineer to manage the state-of-the-art HVAC system and ensuring that the HVAC system was properly working prior to the grand re-opening of the Museum. Ashforth’s executive team also worked with the Museum’s staff to prepare a cleaning specification and developed a scope of work that would be required to handle the Museum’s very sophisticated HVAC system.

Ongoing, Ashforth will be providing a full range of services including property operations, staff employment, training and supervision, contract and work order management, preventative maintenance, accounting and reporting, and construction supervision on any future projects.

Glenn Rich, property manager for Ashforth, will oversee day-to-day operations of the property along with Laura Supliski as property operations administrator.

The Ashforth Company has been a longtime supporter of the Greenwich community by providing contributions to the Bruce Museum and other nonprofits, including Audubon Connecticut, Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, Greenwich Green & Clean, Family Centers, Greenwich Library, and Greenwich Historical Society.
