Flinn Gallery Presents: I’ve Lost Control Again
The show’s opening reception will be held Thursday, October 27 from 6-8pm.
At an especially tense time, with an historic election on our doorstep, the Flinn Gallery opens I’ve Lost Control Again, an exhibit exploring issues of control in contemporary life and art practices. Running from October 27 through November 30, 2016, the show features the work of Johnny Adimando, Sebastian Biskup, Ian James Carr, and Geoffrey Detrani. This autumn, I’ve Lost Control Again captures the zeitgeist as the Flinn Gallery’s artists tap into our anxieties and visually map our cultural options.
Dramatic works include: multi-layered paintings, multi-media artwork, neo-constructivist sculptures and flash-animated video pieces.
I’ve Lost Control Again has been curated by Tracy McKenna.
Special events include an Artist Talk on Sunday, November 6 at 2:00.
As part of the Library’s Friday Film series, on October 28 The Intern starring Robert DeNiro and Anne Hathaway will be shown at 8:00 following special extended evening hours at the gallery.
The Flinn Gallery, sponsored by the Friends of the Greenwich Library, is located on the second floor of the library’s main branch at 101 West Putnam Avenue, Greenwich CT.
The gallery is open daily Monday to Saturday 10-5, Thursday until 8, and Sunday 1-5. For more information, please call the gallery: 203.622.7947 www.flinngallery.com
