The Ashforth Company announced that Kneads Bakery Café signed a lease to open its third location at Greenwich Crossing, Ashforth’s $30 million redevelopment at the newly renovated Greenwich Train Station.
The new Kneads location will include two spaces: approximately 2,000 square feet of street-front retail along Railroad Avenue and an additional 200 square feet on the second floor inside the train station itself.
Owned by chef Daniel Moreno and his wife Brittany, Kneads is known for its in-house stone mill, which grinds 100% organic whole grain flour daily for the bakery’s breads and pastries.

The café’s menu also includes breakfast items, lunch sandwiches, soups, salads, and Irving Farm coffee. The station location will offer a selection of brewed coffee beverages made with Irving Farm beans, freshly ground daily, along with convenient grab-and-go offerings for commuters.
Kneads opened its original café in Westport in 2020, and is opening its second location on Fairfield’s Post Road in October. Greenwich Crossing will be its third location.

As Greenwich Crossing nears completion, the Kneads lease kicks off a new chapter of retail, dining and community amenities at the project.
The redevelopment includes a fully modernized train station, a 5,000-square-foot anchor restaurant with expansive outdoor seating, renovated retail storefronts, a new Steamboat Road staircase, new landscaping and street trees, and replaced sidewalks, curbing and pedestrian pathways from Arch Street to Steamboat Road.

The café and station location are expected to open in late spring 2027. Joyce Storm of Storm Partners, LLC is Ashforth’s leasing consultant, and renovations will be completed by A.P. Construction.
