Paul John Remesic, 80, of Greenwich, CT, sadly passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on September 6, 2026.
Born on August 6, 1946, in Manhattan, NY to Paul and Zuzanna Remesic, Paul spent his formative years in Mt. Vernon, NY. In 1966 he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served 21 months in Korea. Upon returning home he graduated from the Teterboro School of Aeronautics and he went on to have an over 30-year career at Lucas Aerospace, where he was on the Hydro-Mechanical team supporting accessories fitted to Rolls-Royce engines which powered the L-1011 and B747 aircraft.
Paul was known for his glove in the outfield, golf swing on the course, and most of all, his devotion to his family as a husband and father. He was proud of his military service and enjoyed being a member of the Glenville Veterans.
Paul adored the outdoors, frequently taking a few weeks out of the year to go hunting, as well as traveling with family and friends. In his later years, he took pride in his ability to drive the golf ball down the fairway at “The Griff”along with the obligatory beer or two that came after. Paul is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret Remesic; his children, Paul John Remesic (Anita), and Michael Vincent Remesic (Giorgia); three grandchildren (Paul III, Petra, and Alexander); and his brother Steven Remesic. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul, and mother, Zuzanna.
In 2021 Paul was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which he battled with determination and grace. Thanks to the compassionate care of Dr. Barry Boyd and staff at Yale New Haven Health in Greenwich, CT he was given the gift of many more years, years blessed with unforgettable moments and cherished memories.
To honor Paul’s life, family and friends will gather on Thursday September 10, 2026 4:00 to 8:00pm at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home at 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich, CT 06830.
Military honors and a funeral mass will be held on Friday September 11, 2026 10:00am at St. Roch’s Church followed by interment at Putnam Cemetery. Donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation or the charity of your choosing.
