Jewish Riverside Old Greenwich (J-ROG) will hold High Holiday services in Old Greenwich this year, with an expanded schedule that includes services on both days of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur services, and a community Shofar blowing and Tashlich gathering at Binney Park.
Rosh Hashanah services will take place at the newly renovated Cohen Eastern Greenwich Civic Center, located at 90 Harding Road in Old Greenwich. This year, services will be held on both days of Rosh Hashanah.
Services will include traditional prayers led by Chazzan Yosef David, along with programming for high school students and an interactive family and children’s program.
On Sunday, September 13 at 5:00pm, a community Shofar blowing and Tashlich service will take place at Binney Park in Old Greenwich. Tashlich is a traditional Rosh Hashanah observance held near a body of water and is commonly accompanied by prayers and reflection for the new year.
Yom Kippur services will be held at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich, including Kol Nidrei and services throughout Yom Kippur.
The High Holiday services are open to the community and are free to attend. Advance registration is requested due to space limitations.
