The International School at Dundee in Riverside is a place of tradition. The school integrates the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, with curriculum focusing on the 10 core IB Learner Profile traits.
The school was built in 1962, but closed in the 1975 due to declining enrollment. The district reopened the building as the International School at Dundee in 2000, Greenwich’s first magnet school.
With the Third Grade Ballet, Risk-Taker project in fourth grade, and the Exhibition in fifth grade, students learn the importance of embracing new experiences as a way of learning.
This year, ISD celebrates 25 years of academic excellence.

The milestone was commemorated during an open house event on Thursday featuring history from the school, including old articles and yearbooks, and visits to the school’s classrooms.
Led today by principal Philip Hammack, the small school contains a lot of heart and strong community, as evident in the attendance at the event, including alumni, faculty, both retired and current, parents, and family.
The International School at Dundee was authorized in July of 2003 as an official International Baccalaureate school. ISD is one of only 181 authorized IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) schools in the US, and one of only a few elementary schools in Connecticut to receive the IBPYP accreditation. ISD offers programs for students from kindergarten through fifth grade. For more information, visit isd.greenwichschools.org, or call (203) 637-3800.
