Man Familiar to Greenwich Police Surrenders on Warrant for Probation Violation

On Monday Greenwich Police arrested a Port Chester man who voluntarily arrived at Greenwich Police headquarters on an outstanding warrant issued Feb 5, 2018 for Probation Violation stemming back to an incident in Wilbur Peck Court on Nov 29, 2015.

Michael Victor Yon, 29, of Purdy Ave in Port Chester was arrested by warrant, issued on Feb 5, 2018 for Probation Violation.

In January 2017 Yon was found guilty in Stamford Superior Court of Disorderly Conduct for the Nov 2015 incident in Greenwich and sentenced to 90 Days Jail, Execution Suspended, Probation 1 Year. He was also found guilty of Failure to Appear for which he was sentenced to 1 Year Jail, Execution Suspended, Probation 2 Years.

This week, his bond was set at $5,000, which he was able to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior court on March 5, 2018.

As recently as last month, Mr. Yon was arrested by Greenwich Police for a bizarre incident in which he allegedly threw garbage at a victim and all over a private residence during a fight. For that incident he was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Also, according to the CT Judicial branch website, Yon was found guilty in 2013 in Stamford Superior Court of Possession of a Controlled Substance/Less than 4 oz Marijuana for an incident stemming back to 2007 in Greenwich.

Mr. Yon was found guilty of Failure to Appear 2 in Stamford Superior Court in Oct 2013. The original arresting agency was Stamford Police.

A probation review hearing has been scheduled for March 19, 2018.
