Greenwich Police Find Drugs and Counterfeit during Traffic Stop

On Oct 16, a motor vehicle stop was conducted for a traffic violation in the area of Wilbur Peck on Davis Ave.

During the course of speaking to the driver, later identified as Christopher Louis Orima Beauchamp, 22, of 160 East 4th Street in Mt Vernon, NY, police detected the strong odor of marijuana in the car and in plain view on the back seat of the car.

During investigation, numerous other drug paraphernalia, marijuana, drug packaging material and counterfeit US currency were located and seized.

Mr. Beauchamp was charged with Forgery 1, Operating a Drug Factory, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Possession, Possession of Marijuana under 1/2 Oz and Insufficient Insurance. He was also charged with Failure to Have Proper Tail Lights and Driving an Unregistered Motor Vehicle.

Beauchamp was assigned a court date of Oct 30,2017 in Stamford Superior Court. He was unable to post his $7,500 bond at the time of the arrest.
