Bond Set at $25,000 for Weaver Street Man Arrested Twice in Two Weeks

On Thursday night at about 9:30pm,  Greenwich Police Patrol Division and Narcotics Section were conducting a narcotics investigation when they recognized James Andres Clifford,  23, of 56A Weaver Street in Greenwich.

Police, who had arrest warrant for Mr. Clifford signed on Feb 3 by Judge Comerford, placed Mr. Clifford under arrest for an incident on Pemberwick Road stemming back to Oct 9, 2015. Mr. Clifford was charged with Burglary 3rd degree, Larceny 5 and Interfering with an Officer.

Clifford was unable to post his court set bond of $25,000 and was placed into the Greenwich Police cell block. He has a court date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb. 11.


 

Just a week earlier, on Jan. 28, Mr. Clifford was released on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 11, after being arrested on several drug-related charges. According to Greenwich Police, detectives obtained three Search and Seizure Warrants for the person James Clifford, his 2010 red Jeep Liberty Sport, and his cell phone. On February 4, the search warrants were executed on Mr. Clifford and his cellular phone. Mr. Clifford was found to be in possession of marijuana, a metal grinder with marijuana residue and his cell phone. All items were seized under the authority of the search warrant.

A consent search of his girlfriend’s apartment, where he had been staying yielded one DigiWeigh digital scale, and one white oblong shaped tablet with the imprint M523 on one side and 10/325 on the other (Oxycodone Hydrchloride).

Mr. Clifford was processed and charged with  Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Marijuana less than 1/2 ounce, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
