Leon Overton, of 749 Arctic Street in Bridgeport was arrested on June 29 at about 11:30pm at Greenwich Hospital. Overton, 39, was visiting the emergency room on Monday night, where he voluntarily secured his firearm upon arrive.
A computer check revealed that Overton had an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant held that Overton failed to make a court appearance at Danbury Superior Court pursuant to motor vehicle charges in Newtown, CT.
Overton was placed under arrest and charged with Failure to Appear, 2nd Degree. He Overton was held in lieu of $1,500 court set bond. His court date is in Danbury on July 7, 2015.
