
The future of Playland, which dates back to 1928, is uncertain with Westchester County, who own the park’s 280 acres and Standard Amusements are loggerheads. The amusement park was originally owned and managed by the Westchester County Parks Commission. in 2022, the county entered a 30 year agreement with Standard Amusements, but that company announced plans to terminate the contract.
