Seven Sacred Heart Greenwich Students Sign National Letters of Intent to Play Collegiate Sports

Sacred Heart Greenwich proudly announces that seven senior athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play collegiate sports at Division I institutions. This signing marks a binding agreement between the student-athletes and their colleges and universities.

The following students have made commitments:

Ines Araujo: Lafayette Field hockey
Corbin Callaway: Bucknell Lacrosse
Mackenzie Coleman: Elon Lacrosse
Kelly Haggerty: Fairfield Lacrosse
Kate Nemec: Stanford Field Hockey
Karina Sethi: UVM Lacrosse
Maggie Sullivan: Colgate Lacrosse

In an signing ceremony on Wednesday evening, Laurie Rousseau, athletic director, recognized these students’ athletic prowess, academic acumen, and commitment to their sports.

“It’s incredible that we have seven Sacred Heart girls who have made commitments to play at the collegiate level,” Rousseau said. “I have been particularly impressed with their passions for Sacred Heart athletics and how well all of them represent Sacred Heart every time they take the field. We are a much stronger program as a result of their team-first commitment to Sacred Heart Athletics. We could not be more excited to see these athletes take their talents to the next level.”

Sacred Heart plans to celebrate these students, along with all student-athletes planning to play collegiate sports at a later date.
