North Mianus School Assistant Principal Accepts Darien Position

North Mianus School Assistant Principal Kat Brunswick announced that she has accepted a special education teaching position with the Darien Public Schools at Tokeneke Elementary School.

Her last day with the Greenwich Public Schools will be September 14.

“My time at North Mianus and with the Greenwich Public Schools has been filled with wonderful memories that I will take with me forever,” Brunswick said. “The staff at NMS and those colleagues with whom I have worked across the District are truly one in a million and some of the best educators I have ever worked with. They each bring a strength and skill set to this District which benefits the students of the Greenwich Public Schools.”

North Mianus School Principal Angela Schmidt said, “Kat is a consummate professional who always put the needs of children first. In her time at North Mianus School, parents and staff found her to be a caring and dedicated Assistant Principal devoted to ensuring all students had opportunities to be successful.”

Kat introduced North Mianus Cares enabling students to see connections between the school and the greater community. From making lunch for the homeless to visiting a local nursing home, Kat helped students live the Vision of the Graduate and develop the skills needed to become citizens of the world. She will be greatly missed by our whole school community.
