The Mead School in Stamford is proud to announce Artists Creating Together, an all-day art event, celebrating art across the ages. Throughout the day, students in Kindergarten – Eighth grade will have the opportunity to work alongside professional artists, gaining hands-on experience and creative inspiration.
This event highlights The Mead School’s commitment to arts education as a vital part of fostering creativity and critical thinking. The school nurtures creative self-expression, encourages sensory exploration, and supports the progressive development of artistic skills at every stage of a student’s growth.
“I am excited to bring the community together to celebrate the arts,” said Jessica Hauben, Director of Public Purpose at The Mead School. “Though this year’s inaugural event is focused solely on Mead, we hope to grow this event next year and invite other schools and the local community.”
The day will culminate with an Art Opening where the public will have the opportunity to meet local artists, purchase artwork from artisans, and enjoy a display of student work.
On Friday, April 10, 2026 the public is invited to the Art Opening from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
