Head Shaving at Cos Cob School Raises Funds for St. Baldrick’s Foundation

On Thursday night students and teachers at Cos Cob School had their heads shaved and ponytails clipped at an event to raise awareness and money for childhood cancer research and St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

This volunteer-driven event reflected solidarity with the children who lose their hair undergoing treatment.

Cos Cob School principal Kerry Gavin said the effort was well on track to raise the goal of $20,000 and was grateful for numerous volunteers he listed by name including DJ Pat Prisinzano, the wonderful PTA and the abundant pizza donations from John Bosco at Corbo’s Southside at Harbor Point, Arcuri’s Pizza, Glenville Pizza and Pizza Post. Eric Alfano and his crew at Generations Barber Parlor were back for the effort.
