At Greenwich High School 52 students have been recognized in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program based on their PSAT score.
Twelve GHS students qualify for scholarships in the National Merit program and 45 have been recognized as Commended Students.
Additionally, 11 GHS students have been named to the College Board’s National Hispanic Recognition Program.
Over 1.6 million students took the 2017 PSAT/NMSQT last October, from which 16,000 highest performers were identified as Semifinalists in the scholarship program.
Only Semifinalists have an opportunity to continue in the Merit Scholarship competition and advance to Finalist standing.
Approximately two-thirds of the 50,000 highest achieving students receive Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise.
