Woman Charged with Possession after Her Wallet is Found Near Greenwich Hospital

On September 21 around 9:15pm Greenwich Police responded to Perryridge Road on a report that a wallet had been found that contained illicit narcotics.

While police were on scene, the owner of the wallet, Casey Lee Sorbara, 33, of 37 Upland Street in Port Chester responded to the area to retrieve her wallet.

Police say Ms. Sorbara admitted that she knew that there were narcotics in her wallet.

She was arrested and charged with Illegal Possession.

At the Monday morning press briefing, Lt. Slusarz said the wallet contained wax folds containing a powdery substance, but that police no longer do field testing in order not to unduly expose officers.

Slusarz said a presumptive test will be done by detectives. “Based on the way it’s packaged and presented, there is probable cause to believe it’s narcotics,” he said.

Sorbara was released on a promise to appear in Stamford Superior Court on October 5, 2018.
