Woman Charged with Burglary and Criminal Trespass

On March 3 around 7:30pm Greenwich police responded to a report of suspicious activity in the area of 23 Woodland Drive where officers observed footprints in the show leading to the rear of a vacant house.

During a search of the residence, a woman, later identified as Jeaterai Zuzim, 47, whose address was not made available by police, attempted to escape via a basement window.

Investigation revealed that Ms. Zuzim did not have permission to be within the residence. She was charged with Criminal Trespass 2nd degree and Burglary 3rd degree, a felony. The charge of Burglary is brought when someone enters or remains in a building with the intent to commit a crime.

Zuzim has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 18.

She was unable to post her $2,500 bond at the time of her arrest.
