Greenwich Police were detailed to a private residence just before 1:00am on Saturday, Aug. 29, on the report an incident of domestic violence. Upon arrival, officers found the accused, Maureen Hoffkins, 58, of 55 The Ave, to be highly intoxicated and acting out against members of her family.
Hoffkins, according to police, continued her confrontational, hostile behavior even after officers on scene warned her to stop and remove herself from the conflict.
After repeated warnings, the unruly behavior continued and Hoffkins was placed under arrest. She was assigned the next available court date, Aug. 31, at Stamford Superior Court.
