Update: According to Greenwich Police Lt. David Nemecek, at about 10:00 am Wednesday morning, an eastbound transit bus rear-ended a van stopped for a red light on East Putnam Avenue at the intersection with Sound Beach Avenue.
Original Story Greenwich Police are tweeting that 10 people were transported to the hospital after sustaining injuries Wednesday morning when a transit bus crashed at the intersection of East Putnam Ave and Sound Beach Ave in Old Greenwich.

The incident is under investigation. A lane has been temporarily closed.
According to a witness, the victims were elderly and disabled.
