Pedestrian Hit on East Putnam Ave Near Whole Foods Greenwich

Around 4:30pm, multiple Greenwich Police units and GEMS responded to an incident on East Putnam Avenue, at the entrance/exit to Whole Foods Market Greenwich.

Traffic quickly backed up in both directions on Putnam Avenue.

An officer on scene confirmed that a pedestrian had been hit. “They’ll be fine,” he said. GEMS took the person away at about 5:00pm.  An employee from Whole Foods said the victim was a Whole Foods employee. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
