Greenwich Schools Remind Parents to Talk To Children About Stranger Danger Following Incident

On Tuesday afternoon Greenwich Schools sent a message to families notifying them of an incident involving a middle school parent that took place on Monday and suggesting parents talk to their children about interacting with strangers.

According to the email, on Monday a middle school parent reported to Greenwich Police a suspicious verbal exchange she had with a stranger near a bus stop at Hassake Road and Havemeyer Lane.

The email said Greenwich Police are investigating the incident and have an increased presence in the area.

“We’d like to take this opportunity to remind you to speak with your children about the precautions of talking to strangers and to continue to report anything out of the ordinary to the police department,” the district said in the email.
