Greenwich Police report that someone tried to get into an ATM in Greenwich Plaza around 4:00am on Thursday, Aug 16.
According to Lt Slusarz the would-be thief was scared away by the security guards who chased him off.
Slusarz said there was some damage done to the ATM, including marks on the side that would indicate the thief tried to pry it open.
