Greenwich Man Arrested after Disturbance in a Local Coffee Shop

A Greenwich man who has a history with Greenwich Police was arrested again this week following an incident at a local coffee shop.

Ernest Michael Drupals, 48, of 29 Carrona Drive in Riverside was charged by Greenwich Police on Tuesday with Disorderly Conduct after causing a scene at a local coffee shop.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 9, 2019.

Back in August Police say Drupals entered an office on River Rd demanding paperwork he believed he was entitled to.

“When he was not given said paperwork he became irate, yelling at office employees, demanding to see his attorney, checking all areas of the office without permission and frightening employees,” police said. Further, “Drupals picked up a lamp off a table and threw it to the floor, damaging it.”

Police arrested Drupals in September on an outstanding warrant for the office incident and charged him with Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief 3.

Drupals is a convicted sex offender. In 2002 he was convicted of Possession of Child Pornography in Greenwich.
